The 100 by Kass Morgan (The Hundred #1)
Publication date: August 29th 2013
Published by: Hodder and Stoughton
Genres: Dystopian, YA

An epic journey from the depths of outer space to a wild, futuristic Earth

In 3010, humanity lives in city-like spaceships orbiting far above Earth's toxic atmosphere. No one knows when, or even if, the planet will be habitable again. But faced with dwindling resources, government leaders know they must reclaim their homeland . . . before it's too late.

Now a hundred juvenile delinquents are sent on a high-stakes mission to re-colonize Earth. After a brutal crash landing, the teens arrive on a savagely beautiful planet. Confronting the dangers of this rugged new world, they struggle to form a tentative community and to get over their dark pasts. In order to survive, they must learn to trust - and even love - again.

My Thoughts
I've been in a huge reading slump for the past month and this book was exactly what I needed. It was fast paced and not very deep but great fun to read.

I loved all the characters which were all quite twisted and deceitful no one wasn't hiding a pretty big secret. My favourite was definitely Bellamy, he is definitely not an original character but he is my favourite type of character because mysterious, angry boys who have a rough upbringing always seem to be my favourite. I also thought Clarke was a great strong independent women who didn't need any man to look after her and practically held the 100 together when they first landed.

I actually liked how it constantly point of view. It gave different views on the situation. I thought adding Glass was a great idea while I didn't really like her as a character I thought she really added to the story.

The plot constantly kept me entertained. It was always taking twists and turns that I wasn't expecting, especially the ending. I liked how nothing was skipped but nothing was skimmed over either I think Kass got the balance just right.

In conclusion, though most people don't particularly like this book series I loved it. It was always different and kept me interesting. I haven't seen the show so I can't tell you how it compares but by itself it is a really unique take on an increasingly popular genre (dystopian). I'm giving this 4/5 stars because none of the characters where very unique

Florilegium by Nostalgiia : Wattpad Review

Florilegium by Nostalgiia
Publication date: On Going
Published by: Wattpad
Genres: Poetry

❝stories that could have been, but never were.❞

My Thoughts
I use Wattpad mainly for poetry and Florilegium is my favourite. I find them really easy to relate with a wide variety of topics. Sometimes it also great to read through the comments, they really show you what other people have got out of that poem.

Nostalgiia is written by a girl in high school, so it's super easy to understand what she is writing about. There are loads of poems on love, friendship and what if's. Quite a lot of her poems are also almost short stories

Some of my favourite poems are 'Mark Twain', 'Danced Away' and 'What Then' but there are so many other good poems. It was so hard to pick.

In Conclusion, I love this book it's one of my favourites. It is updated really regularly, so you don't need to worry about her just stopping one day. I'm giving this 5/5 stars.

Sorry

Hi Guys

I'm so sorry Wattpad November was an absolute flop. I found I got scared to read anything that wasn't on Wattpad, which then made me feel stressed and I currently have been reading the same book for the whole month. I do have a wattpad related post for next Wednesday and my review this Sunday is of my favourite poetry book on Wattpad.

I've taken a bit of a break from blogging and feel so inspired to read and write. I really needed it because I can't not do a special post on my blogiversary. Saying that I have no idea what I'm doing for it.

October Wrap Up

Hi Guys

I had an awful reading start to the month then I went on holiday and read 3 books and haven't finished a book since. So an okay reading month.

The Secret Fire by C. J. Daughtery and Carina Rozenfield
I was able to meet C.J. Daughtery at the end of last month and she was so nice. It really helped enjoy the book more. It was a  fast paced adventure fantasy novel that had great character development. My full review is here

To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han
I was slightly underwhelmed by this book but it was still a really fun cutesy contemporary. Though it lacked any depth. My full review is here..

The X Factor by Ivan Sivec
I loved this book, it was so original and unique. The writing style was so different and the topic was on I had never read before. My full review is here

Leslie's Study of Femininity by Justlyd
I was extremely disappointed by this book. I thought it was going to be a super empowering book about how women don't have to fit the stereotypes but it ended up being an unrealistic romance story.  My full review is here.

A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall
I loved this book. It was perfect. The kind of book I want every contemporary to be. It was cute and fluffy yet also had depth and meaning with realistic and loveable characters. Lea is literally me. The way it was set out ws so different from any or book I've read. One of my favourite books this year. 5/5 stars.

Leslie's Study of Femininity by Justlyd : Wattpad Review

Everyone tells Leslie she's one of the guys, so she sets out to prove that there are no rules to being a girl.

My Thoughts
I was actually really disappointed by this book. I was so excited by the premise of the book, which I had take to be about how women are still women even if they do stereotypically masculine things. I was fully prepared for ultimate girl power book. But instead it quickly turn into a romance novel and a pretty unrealistic one at that.
All the characters were well written. They were individual and realistic. Les was a great character to read about, her reactions to everything were entertaining to read about.
The plot was mainly based around Les' new relationship with her best friend Greg. I thought their relationship was unrealistic because of how fast it was. By the end of the book they are married with kids.
In conclusion, this was a very sexual book with a lot of swearing but usually it was a in context and helped move the plot along. I was quite disappointed into the story as it wasn't what the blurb said it was going to be. I'm giving the book 3/5 stars.
